2 Releases from J. Bell Cellars

October 12, 2020

Wes and Natasha Teslo operate the winery and tasting room in the Yakima Valley AVA on 30 sprawling acres in the agriculturally based city of Zillah known for its many wineries. Visitors delight at the lavender fields that color the surrounding landscape. The wines are solid and filled with expressive character, depth and pizzazz.

The lineup of wines can be found at the tasting room in Zillah or at their satellite tasting room in Woodinville or online at www.jbellcellars.com.

Below are two releases we currently reviewed:

J. Bell Cellars 2019 Pino Rosé, $25
90 pts. – Excellent

This salmon-hued Rosé of Pinot Noir displays an earthy side with prominent pear, white cherry and melon flavors threaded with hints of orange zest and wild strawberry. Spice notes emerge on the aftertaste.

J. Bell Cellars Isabell Elizabeth Fumé Blanc (NV), $25
90 pts. – Excellent

Textural and complexly built, this white wine reveals lots of upfront minerally spice, with baled straw accents that mingle with rich flavors of yellow apple, grapefruit and pineapple. A touch of dried herbs linger on the supple and expressive finish.
