Self-Serve Taproom & Lounge Opens in Poulsbo

September 10, 2025

Adults-only wine lounge at The Sip Taproom & Lounge in downtown Poulsbo

The scenic Norwegian-style town of Poulsbo, WA on the Kitsap Peninsula (nicknamed “Little Norway” by locals) has welcomed a playful yet refined addition to grab food or a drink. The Sip is a taproom located at the Poulsbo Marina with peekaboo views of Liberty Bay from the outdoor covered patio. The wine lounge features 36 rotating taps of wine, wine cocktails, beer, cider, cold brew coffee and craft sodas.

A wide array of local wines, beers and ciders on tap at The Sip

The self-serve model invites guests to pour by the ounce, using credit‑card–linked tap cards. Upon arrival, guests check in with the host to activate a tap card, which they can use to access any of the wine, beer and cider taps. By simply tapping the screen corresponding to whichever beverage one would like, guests are able to pour as little or as much as they like. This self-serve structure provides both flexibility and discovery—pour a one-ounce taste or fill a full glass.

The 11 taps featuring wine are always rotating and carefully curated by owners Brooke Huffman and her husband, who have a background in the Washington wine industry and a desire to share unique, high-quality wines with those who visit The Sip.

“It’s a creative, experiential concept that allows beverage exploration on one’s own, without having to wait for a table server to take an order and bring a flight or glass,” says Huffman.

The tap list is constantly changing, but is always available for viewing in real time on their website along with pricing details.

In addition to the outdoor covered patio, The Sip includes two distinct areas. The Taproom side of The Sip features beer and non-alcoholic taps in a family‑friendly beer hall type setting with games like pinball, shuffleboard, arcade and board games. The Lounge is an adult-only area with couches and a relaxed atmosphere featuring wine, wine cocktails and cider taps.

The food menu offers curated selections of charcuterie boards, dessert boards, gourmet nachos, paninis and more. All the ingredients are sourced as organic as possible.

Visit: 18801 Front Street NE, Poulsbo; open daily 11:30am-9pm; www.pouryoursip.com or connect on Instagram @pouryoursip.
