Wenatchee Wine Country Launches New Brand to Unify North Central WA Wineries

May 15, 2015

Wenatchee, Wash. – May 15, 2015 – Wenatchee Wine Country, a 501 c 6 non-profit organization, has transformed into North Central Washington Wine Country which will encompass wineries and associate members in Wenatchee, Leavenworth, Quincy, Chelan, the Okanogan Region, Ellensburg and towns in between. “We have been tasked with unifying this region’s wine tourism and education,” says Board President Beth Dobbs of Horan Estates Winery.  With 46 members, the non-profit group reaches into wine communities to support and strengthen existing marketing efforts including wine-related events, education efforts and infrastructure beginning with new branding.

NCW-wine-country-logoNorth Central Washington Wine Country emerges today with a new logo, website and energy to continue the organizations 7 year quest to enhance the wine region and designed to encompass the region’s geographic elements such as Agriculture and the 300 days of sunshine, the new branding umbrellas the region with sub-branding per community. To do this, North Central WA Wine Country worked with Douglas County-based marketing agency Blind Renaissance and consulted several veteran wine professionals to bring meaning to the new identity. “The new brand is the launching point to unifying the extensive information on this region. It will give us a unifying brand to connect the wonderful history of the wine industry, produce profiles, maps and visitors guides for our members in this region,” Becky Driscoll, Director of NCW Wine Country states.

With bands of wineries emerging in communities such a Cashmere, Quincy, Ellensburg and Oroville efforts will be placed to give those outlying areas marketing power through a collective voice. “Valuable partnerships with existing organizations are the starting points of our new direction. We have seen a tremendous amount of support from the local Chambers of Commerce and the Port Districts. It is now time to pull those efforts together. We are very excited to lead this charge,” Dobbs said.
