Walla Walla’s Historic Marcus Whitman Hotel Unveils Wine and Dine Packages, Specials & More

WINE AND DINE PACKAGE
The Marcus Whitman Hotel is offering guests a special Wine and Dine Package which includes one night’s accommodations, a bottle of Marcus Whitman Hotel’s private label red or white wine, bottled exclusively by L’Ecole No 41 winery in Walla Walla, a gourmet cheese plate and an $80 dining voucher to be used at the Marc Restaurant, named “Top 100 Wine Restaurant in America’ by Wine Enthusiastmagazine three years in a row. WINERY OF THE WEEK
Each Wednesday throughout the season, the Marcus Whitman Hotel is offering diners the unique chance to meet local winemakers and learn more about the complex and exciting winemaking world through its ‘Winery of the Week’ program. On Wednesdays, winemakers from select local wineries will be guest sommeliers for the evening in The Marc Restaurant and Vineyard Lounge. WINERY OF THE MONTH
L’Ecole No 41 is the Marc Restaurant’s featured winery of the month. Throughout May, dine at the Marc Restaurant, named “2014 Restaurant of the Year” by the Washington State Wine Commission to experience and taste the special menu. The Marc Restaurant’s featured menu items and perfect wine pairings from L’Ecole No 41 include:

Petrale Sole; 2013, Semillon, Columbia Valley – with citrus segments, stone fruit mostarda, arugula, local radish and Meyer lemon

Upper Dry Creek Lamb Chop; 2012, Syrah, Columbia Valley – with huckleberry just, citrus marmalade, arugula and carrots

Double R Ranch Signature Filet Mignon; 2012, Cabernet Sauvignon, Walla Walla Valley – with béarnaise, truffle demi, blue cheese potato pave, green beans

Cacao Barry Chocolate Crème; 2012, Merlot, Columbia Valley

NEW MENUS
New menus have arrived in the Marc Restaurant and Vineyard Lounge just in time for spring. Featuring the best of what is fresh and in season, the refreshed menu is sure to inspire and delight anyone’s palate. New menu items include crab and prawn stuffed ravioli, local asparagus and brie soup, Pacific Northwest seafood chowder, Double R Ranch signature filet of beef, spring vegetable paella stuffed tomato, grilled rack of lamb and much more.
