Tinte Cellars Supports Campaign for ‘No Child Sleeps Outside’

November 12, 2022

“For just $35, a child can sleep inside in a warm bed and out of the elements for a night,” says Teresa Spellman Gamble, who co-owns Tinte Cellars with her husband, Tim Gamble. “It is our honor to partner with Mary’s Place to support its laser-focused goal to keep families together and provide them a safe haven.”

This holiday season, Tinte Cellars expands its ongoing giving again this year in support of Mary’s Place’s annual No Child Sleeps Outside Campaign launching November 12, 2022. Tinte is collecting coats, hats and gloves for adults and children at all three of its tasting room locations (listed below) and accepting cash donations online on behalf of Mary’s Place, the local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safe, inclusive shelter and services for women, children, and families.

In addition, with the Holidays around the corner, Tinte Cellars offers additional opportunities to support local non-profit organizations with a selection of local gifts, and wine.

With each glass of wine sold, Tinte Cellars makes a donation to Mary’s Place. Each year, five percent of Tinte’s retail sales and 10% of its wine club sales are split equally between four area nonprofits. Since the family-owned winery collective was founded in 2018, Tinte Cellars has chosen Mary’s Place as one of its charitable recipients.

To Donate

Donations can be brought to any Tinte Cellars location through December 31, 2022. All of the details and how to donate can be found here: No Child Sleeps Outside.

In addition to hosting numerous donation drives and collecting hundreds of hats, coats, Halloween costumes, face masks, and personal hygiene kits for families, Tinte has donated more than $100,000 in cash donations and more than $85,000 in in-kind donations to Mary’s Place since 2018.

Tinte operates two tasting rooms near its winery in Woodinville, a third tasting room and event venue in Seattle’s historic Georgetown neighborhood, Tinte Estates Vineyard on Red Mountain in Benton City, Washington, and Tinte Red Mountain Retreat, a short-term vacation rental property nestled in the vineyard.

About Tinte Cellars
Tinte Cellars was founded in 2018 by co-owners and husband and wife team, Tim Gamble and Teresa Spellman Gamble. Community, volunteerism, and philanthropy formed the foundation of Tim and Teresa’s upbringings; their culture. When they established Tinte Cellars, the business needed to reflect those values and their desire to leave the world better than they found it. Five percent of all retail sales and 10% of all wine club sales are split equally between area non-profits each year. In 2022 these charities were: Mary’s Place, Northwest Harvest, Seattle Children’s Behavioral Health Crisis Care Clinic, and the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic. In addition, Tinte invests in a wide range of programs and activities to enable their customers, employees, and partners to amplify their own positive impact on the world. Since it’s inception, Tinte’s philanthropic commitment of cash and in-kind donations to local non-profits has exceeded $800,000.
