Gig Harbor, WA — Spruce Hill Winery is preparing to branch out from Seattle with the opening of a second location, this one in Gig Harbor. Owners and winemakers Mark and Jo Bader are completing interior design touches, with plans to open in mid-January 2026.
The Baders’ hands-on approach and deep passion for the Pacific Northwest have shaped the brand since Washington Tasting Room Magazine reported on the opening of their first production facility and tasting room in Seattle’s SODO District in 2023.
As proud Gig Harbor residents, the Baders say they are thrilled to share their handcrafted wines with the South Sound community. The Gig Harbor tasting room is at 5229 Olympic Drive, Unit B, Gig Harbor, WA 98335, across from Harbor Greens.
“Bringing our wine to Gig Harbor has always been a dream. We love this community and are excited to have a warm and inviting space to showcase our wines,” says co-owner and winemaker Mark Bader. “We have always envisioned a second tasting room that the South Sound community could feel a part of. Seeing it come to life is incredibly special.”

The new wine tasting room will serve as a community gathering place, offering Spruce Hill wines accompanied by a menu of small bites and a rotation of Washington beers.
Guests can look forward to seasonal events showcasing Spruce Hill wines, from guided pairings and educational experiences to private events in the space.
The Baders are passionate about helping guests explore new varietals and understand the stories behind each bottle.
“We love introducing guests to new wines and helping them to discover their favorites,” says co-owner and assistant winemaker Jo Bader. “Guests enjoy hearing the stories behind how each wine is crafted, especially when paired with a delicious food experience. Bringing together wine, food, and education is one of our favorite ways to connect with our community and showcase what makes each bottle unique.”
Spruce Hill Winery features familiar and unique wines, ranging from Southern Rhône varietals such as Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah, to Bordeaux varietals such as Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Carmenère, to Spanish varietals such as Tempranillo and Albariño. All Spruce Hill wines are produced in the classic fruit-forward style for which Washington State is famous.
