“It’s a great opportunity for park goers to maximize their visit,” explained Pam Painter, managing director of the Mt. Rainier Visitor Association.  “Visitors can spend time at the park during the day, then spend their evening sampling some of Washington’s award-winning wines and micro brews.”

Tickets can be purchased online at www.road-to-paradise.com.  Discounted tickets are available for advance purchase through April 24 for $20.  Admission includes a souvenir wine glass, 10 tasting tickets and live entertainment.  After the 24th, tickets are $25 and can be purchased either online or at the door.

For those looking to extend their visit, hospitality awaits at area hotels, spas, bed and breakfasts, cabins and vacation rentals.  Visitors that book lodging on April 27 and/or 28 in Ashford, Elbe, Mineral or Longmire receive one FREE festival ticket.  For participating lodging establishments, or to book a room, visit www.mt-rainier.com.

This year’s featured Washington wineries include Agate Creek Cellars, Barrister Winery, Bateaux Cellars, Five Star Cellars, Knipprath Cellars, Madsen Family Cellars, Mount St. Helen’s Cellars, Scatter Creek Winery, Whisper Ridge Winery and the Small Lot Co-op, which represents small lot wineries.  Fans of micro brews will be treated to award-winning beers from Harmony Brewery.
