Walla Walla, Wash. — September 21, 2015 — Wine & Spirits magazine has designated L’Ecole N° 41 as one of its Top 100 Wineries of 2015. The award is a pretty big deal because it marks the 14th consecutive year L’Ecole has been named a Wine & Spirits Winery of the Year. The magazine tasted more than 15,000 international wines over the course of the year to winnow the list to its Top 100.

Established in 1983, L’Ecole is one of the Walla Walla Valley’s early leaders in grape growing and winemaking. “Since the beginning, our winery has been dedicated to crafting high quality wines across our entire portfolio without exception,” says L’Ecole owner and managing winemaker Marty Clubb. “The fact we have earned this award for 14 successive years is especially gratifying because it affirms our consistent quality.”

L’Ecole is one of only four wineries in the world to be named to the Top 100 list for 14 successive years or more. Five other Washington State wineries also received this recognition in 2015. Clubb will travel to San Francisco on October 20th to attend the Wine & Spirits Top 100 Tasting in San Francisco. The event recognizes this year’s Wine & Spirits Top 100 honorees.

Housed in the historic Frenchtown School depicted on its label, L’Ecole has earned international acclaim for producing expressive, distinctive wines that reflect the unmistakable typicity of Washington State and the unique terroir of their Walla Walla Valley estate vineyards. In 2014, London’s Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) named L’Ecole’s 2011 Estate Ferguson as the Best Bordeaux Blend in the World over £15. DWWA is considered one of the largest and most prestigious wine competitions in the world and included 15,007 wines judged by 224 international wine experts.
