Get Passionate During A ‘Taste With Tommy’ Tulalip Resort Casino Wine Dinner

June 23, 2011

It’s no secret that the Tulalip Resort Casino is serious about wine and food.  In fact, passionate might be a better description.  Much of this passion comes from the affable team of energetic sommelier Tommy Thompson and talented executive chef Perry Mascitti.

This summer, Thompson will orchestrate several Taste With Tommy events, all happening at the Tulalip Resort Casino.  Each one promises an unforgettable evening of artisan wines thoughtfully paired with an amazing multi-course dinner for those lucky enough to get a seat.  Thompson has received awards of excellence from Wine Spectator and the Washington Wine Commission for his wine events.

The next Taste With Tommy event is August 6, 2011 and features winemaker Rolando Herrera of Mi Sueno Winery, whose distinguished wines have been served multiple times during dinners at the White House.  Relax and enjoy a Fiesta on the patio of Mpulse from 5pm to 9pm.  The price is $110 per person, including tax and gratuity for tickets purchased in advance.

Rolando Herrera, owner and winemaker of this boutique winery that is Spanish for “my dream”, will be the featured guest at the wine and dine evening.  Mi Sueño, located in California’s Napa Valley, has been honored to have a wine served on three separate occasions at White House state dinners.  At Tulalip, guests will have the opportunity to taste six of Herrera’s wines from the silky Los Carneros Chardonnay to vibrant Pinot Noirs, dark fruit Cabernets and the tantalizing El Llano Cabernet and Syrah blend.

Tulalip Executive Chef Perry Mascitti has designed a festive tasting menu to complement Rolando’s handcrafted, ultra-premium wines.  The menu:
