April 21, 2011

This is your chance to take home the Wine Cup!

The Washington Wine Industry Foundation invites connoisseurs of golf or of wine to start getting their foursome together early (as space is limited) to tee off in the 11th Annual Wine Cup Thursday, June 23 at Wine Valley Golf Club in Walla Walla, WA.  Registration is $125 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, GPS golf cart, wine reception and awards dinner, range balls, goody bag and prizes.

Wine Valley Golf Club is rated  the 2nd Top Course to Play in Washington State and ranked in the Top 5 of Best New Golf Courses in the U.S. by Golf Week and Golf  Digest.

Sponsorships are available and a great opportunity to support the industry while getting your company name in front of potential new customers.   Sponsors already signed up include: Champoux Vineyards, Gamache Vintners, Bank of the West, Bleyhl Farm Services, Northwest Farm Credit Services, Stavin Inc, CorkWest,  TricorBraun, and Stoel Rives.

Proceeds from the event help boost the industry’s foundation which is the fund-raising and gift-receiving organization for the Washington wine industry.  Organized as a 501 (c)(3), the foundation engages those who care about the wine industry, provides opportunities to enhance scholarships, education, outreach and research.

Vicky Scharlau, Executive Director of the Wine Industry Foundation, said, “If you only play golf once a year, this is the tournament to play.  Come join us for a chance to win one of our amazing prizes including a getaway at one of 25 U.S. destinations including Hawaii and Las Vegas and a Cancun getaway to celebrate the tournament’s 11th year.”

For more information on registering a team, sponsoring or donating prizes please contact info@washingtonwinefoundation.org or call 509-782-1108.
