Columbia Winery Brings Food Truck Fare & Wine Education Fun to Annual Taste of Red Event

October 3, 2014

On Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 1-6pm Columbia Winery will host its 13th annual Taste of Red event that showcases food, wine and live music. In addition to featuring new wine releases, this year’s event will give attendees three brand new options to explore.taste-of-red-sean-hails

“This year we enhanced Taste of Red to give our guests new and engaging ways to experience Columbia Winery and Washington wine country,” says senior manager John Sportelli.

Tasting Room: In the recently renovated tasting room, guests can enjoy wine tasting, peruse pop-up shops from a variety of local vendors, and savor the winery’s signature flatbreads—all set to live music from local performers.

Interactive Wine Education: Three interactive wine classes will bring guests on a behind-the-scenes tasting journey. Classes will be held at 1:30pm, 3pm and 4:30pm.  No reservations required for the classes but seating will be limited.

Cellar Lounge: In the underground cellar, a lounge will beckon guests to get a one-of-a-kind look at the barrel room. Guests can relax and enjoy live music, sip a selection of award-winning Washington wines, and purchase delectable small bites from a local food truck.

Leading up to the event, past attendees can share their pictures on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #TasteOfRed for a chance to win a prize at this year’s raffles.

Advance general admission tickets cost $30 per person ($25 pp for groups of 4 or more; $25 for wine club members and guests). Door price at the event is $35 per person ($30 for wine club members). Tickets are available at columbiawinery.brownpapertickets.com. For more information contact Lisa Desfaugeres at Lisa.Desfaugeres@ColumbiaWinery.com or phone (425) 482-7381.
