Chef Russell Dean Lowell Presents Winemaker Dinners In October

This October make a date and get your tickets to attend one of a handful of special Winemaker Dinners or a Cigar and Bourbon paired dinner at The Loft at Russell’s created by Chef Russell Dean Lowell. The Winemaker Dinners take place in The Loft at Russell’s just minutes from Woodinville, as Chef Lowell pairs his exquisite cuisine and possibly a story or two, with the captivating wines.

On Thursday, October 11 from 6:30-9:30pm, Patterson Cellars will be the featured winery and John Patterson will be on site to answer questions about the wine. The five course menu costs $125 per person and includes the following:

First Course
Grilled Octopus with Fennel Orange Salad paired with Patterson Cellars 2017 Blanc de Blanc
Second Course
Butternut Squash Soup with Roasted Cauliflower, Garden Kale and Chanterelle Mushrooms paired with Patterson Cellars 2017 Melange Blanc
Third & Fourth Course
Braised lamb shank and Grilled Lamb Chop Duo over Blue Cheese Polenta with Crispy Shallots paired with Patterson Cellars 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon & 2015 Petit Verdot
Fifth Course
Pumpkin Spiced Roulade with Mascarpone Whipped Cream and Toffee Gingerbread Crumble paired with Patterson Cellars 2017 Late Harvest Roussane

The Russell and Ryan’s Cigar and Bourbon Dinner features Russell’s Reserve Kentucky Bourbon and San Juan Cigar Company paired with Chef Russell Dean Lowell’s cuisine. On Friday, October 18 from 6-9:30pm, the five course menu costs $150 plus service fee per person and includes the following:

Russell’s Barrel Aged Old Fashion, Russell’s 10 Year Bourbon, Simple Syrup, Garnished With An Orange Peel, Black Cherries
First Course
Roasted Cornish Game Hen With Toasted Orange And Brown Sugar Glace paired With Russell’s 10 Year Bourbon and a Lancero or Toro Cigar
Second Course
Chanterelle Mushroom And Leek Tart With Mission Fig Gastrique And Winter Greens paired With Russell’s 6 Year Rye and a Presidente Cigar
Third Course
All Spiced Rubbed Pork Roulade Stuffed With Rye Soaked Raisins, White Cheddar And Spinach paired With Russell’s Single Barrel Rye and a Gordo
Fourth Course
Braised Short Rib With Butternut Squash Mash And Candied Walnuts paired With Russell’s Single Barrel Bourbon and a Churchill or Monarch
Fifth Course
Whiskey Caramel Float With Vanilla Bean Ice Cream paired With Wild Turkey Decades and a Aristocrat Robusto

On Thursday, October 25 from 6:30-9:30pm, is a Idilico/Pomum Cellars and Gil Family Estates Winemaker Dinner. The cost is $125 per person plus service fee. The series continues into November with a Chateau Ste. Michelle Winemaker Dinner on November 8 and Avennia Winemaker Dinner on November 29.
